Asset & Contracts Manager

Are you an experienced contracts professional with strong client focus and passionate about renewable energy and eager to work at the forefront of the global energy transition?

PEAK Wind is seeking an Asset & Contracts Manager to lead contract and commercial management for a 500 MW operating onshore wind portfolio.

Introducing the Asset Management Team

You will become part of our Asset Management team in Spain, working with colleagues and external specialists across technical, financial and commercial disciplines to support the successful operation of renewable energy assets. The team works collaboratively, shares knowledge and combines specialist expertise to deliver value for our clients and their portfolios.

You will report to the Project Operations Director and be based in PEAK Wind’s Zaragoza office. From the start of operations onwards, you will act as the local point for contract performance, commercial governance and stakeholder coordination.

How You Will Make an Impact

As an Asset & Contracts Manager, you will oversee key interfaces with contractors, consultants, suppliers, EPC parties, offtakers and other third parties, ensuring contractual obligations are met and commercial risks are proactively managed. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage key service providers and operating contracts, including TSA, O&M, BoP O&M, PPA, market agent, consultancy, engineering, supply and other third-party agreements.
  • Monitor contract performance, ensure compliance with contractual, commercial, regulatory, permitting, lease and PPA obligations, and proactively identify risks, deviations and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead the preparation, management and resolution of claims, notices, variations, warranty matters and disputes arising from service failures, underperformance or contract breaches.
  • Prepare robust contractual and commercial positions, supported by evidence, technical inputs and legal or specialist advice where required.
  • Work closely with internal technical teams and external technical advisors to assess operational events, performance issues and asset decisions from a contractual and commercial perspective.
  • Lead and coordinate meetings with owners, investors, contractors, advisors, authorities and other stakeholders, ensuring clear decision-making, follow-up and accountability.
  • Prepare and deliver clear presentations, reports and recommendations for senior management, owner and investor meetings, steering committees and other governance forums.
  • Maintain contract and commercial registers, claims logs, action trackers, controls and reporting tools to support governance, risk management and auditability.
  • Lead selected procurement activities, sourcing strategies and negotiations, ensuring alignment with budget, governance, purchasing procedures and portfolio objectives.
  • Manage relationships with local stakeholders, landowners, residents, authorities, suppliers and international consultants, supporting constructive engagement and issue resolution.

What Will Make You Successful in This Role

At PEAK Wind, we know success comes in many forms. What matters most is your mindset, curiosity, and drive to make an impact. The following qualities and experiences will help you succeed in this role:

  • A degree in Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in contract or commercial management within onshore wind.
  • Solid knowledge of wind farm operating contracts, including TSA, O&M, PPA and related agreements.
  • An understanding of how technical and business decisions translate into contractual and commercial impacts.
  • A commercially sharp, structured and outcome-driven approach, with strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English, with the confidence to engage with clients, contractors and stakeholders at all levels.
  • A collaborative mindset, combined with the ability to take ownership and work independently under pressure.
