Job Content and Responsibilities
Based in our office in Copenhagen, you will be part of our DevOps & Architecture team, which is a part of our Data & Intelligence team. This team works within PEAK Wind’s operations management service offering and manages full value chain data management for our clients. You will report to the Head of DevOps & Architecture and work in an agile team of mixed seniorities. The team manages a portfolio of more than 2.5 GW of renewable energy projects worldwide. PEAK Wind is basing its solutions on Microsoft Azure infrastructure.

More specifically, your areas of responsibility will be:

  • Helping the team make the best design choices on new data engineering infrastructure
  • Providing analysis capabilities and data guidance to our stakeholders
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining data processing pipelines
  • Owning the daily data flows and making sure the data quality remains high
  • Collaborating with the Product Owner to understand business requirements
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining metric calculations that bring value to our stakeholders
  • Learning and exploring new advancements in the fields of renewable energy and data engineering

 

What you bring and your qualities
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Data Engineering, or Computer Science. Ideally, you have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position in which you have worked with Microsoft Azure (Container Apps, Databases, RBAC, Key Vaults, Virtual Networks, etc.), created high-quality ELT/ETL pipelines, and GitHub. Furthermore, you have programming skills in Python, Javascript, and SQL. Experience within renewable energy projects is an advantage but not a requirement.

As a person, you have an agile, adaptive mindset and can respond quickly to changes in your working environment. You are proactive and apply a ‘can-do’ approach to the completion of tasks. You are structured, results-driven, and like to find smarter and more efficient ways to solve problems. Furthermore, we expect that you are a team player, who wants to share your knowledge and skills with the team, and you also know how to make others feel part of the team. As PEAK Wind is a global company, you must have strong English communication skills.
